After the inaugural debut at the Frankfurt  Motor  Show, September 2009, Volkswagen (VW) will market the mini version of electric vehicles, E-Up began in 2013. As reported by autoevolution, yesterday, only a few particular states in the U.S. will market it. One of them, California because it has  the characteristics of the city that is right for city car.

Reportedly, VW E-Up has a larger dimension which is marketed in Europe with a length of 3.19 meters, 1.64 meters wide and 1.47 meters high.

Units equipped with a 60kW electric motor powered capable of producing 210 Nm of torque. Power supply of 18 kWh lithium ion batteries that can plug into a home-based stop-contact voltage 230 volts with a charging time of one hour has been 80 percent vacant.

The car can go from 0-100 km per hour in 11.3 seconds.

The newest technology in E-Up is 1.4 meters square solar panels on the roof to catch the hot sunlight to recharge the battery.
